This is an ad-hoc explanation of the expenses that the BikeTag Project incurs while providing services on BikeTag.Bike and BikeTag.Org. Some items cost $0 and we’re lucky that is true for now. As this project scales, the ability to keep costs at the free tier of the services we use will become increasingly difficult.
All of the services in the section below are free accounts, leveraging public APIs and creating publicly available data. BikeTag Posts are comprised of the following: the images are public and remain on Imgur, the code that runs the websites and applications is public and hosted on GitHub, and the game settings are public and hosted on SanityIO.
Because of the way that this project has been created, to remain a free and public service, the terms of service of the platforms that the BikeTag Platform integrates with are relevant to our users. Each service below is classified according to a grade, A-F, of the privacy and data protection for end-users. For more information about how the terms of services of each of these platforms apply to the BikeTag Platform, please read our terms of service.
