After a reporter from VancouverIsAwesome contacted us and published an article about the Vancouver BikeTag game, the Global Cycling Network featured the biketag.org website and Vancouver game on their recent episode! We were pleasantly surprised to learn about this, but it was the way that we learned about it where it gets even better.
The other evening, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw an email about a request to create a new BikeTag game on our site. Then, I found another. Then, while talking with someone on the BikeTag Team, several timezones away, it was mentioned about another request on Reddit. By the end of that day, we would have a total of 13 new game requests that came rushing into our inbox.
We asked people, how did you hear about BikeTag? At least half of the people who would eventually be joining the BIikeTag Ambassador Program said they found out about the game from the GCN show. We are ecstatic and also glad that we’ve been able to meet those 13 people with new BikeTag games within a day or two. By the end of the week, we anticipate to have around 30 supported games on BikeTag.Org, which is almost three times as many games as we supported last week!
It’s been an exciting couple of days and I’m just glad that the site is holding up! The excitement has also brought with it interest in further developing the BikeTag app and it’s looking like we might just be on track to release even more features this year!
Thank you for coming along for the ride,
